Immediately after Kamala Harris was announced as Joe Biden's Vice Presidential nominee, the race was on to define her. For millions of voters who didn't know much about the junior Senator from California, first impressions would matter. GOP pundits, led by the president, threw a lot of contradictory mud to see what would stick: She's too liberal; she's too authoritarian; she's too "ambitious;" she's "pro-criminal;" she's "nasty;" she's "mad;" she's "not even Black."
