Beats Studio Buds just went on sale for the first time ever
SAVE $5.95: The new Beats Studio Buds just got their first-ever discount at Walmart — as of July 19, you can get a pair in White or Beats Red for just $144 (normally $149.95).
Still hanging onto some regular (non-noise-canceling) AirPods? It may be time to start saying your goodbyes: There's now a better pair of entry-level Apple earbuds in town, and they just went on sale for the first time ever.
Released in late June, the all-new Beats Studio Buds are down to just $144 at Walmart as of July 19 — that's almost $6 off their suggested retail price of $149.95, a discount Amazon, Target, Adorama, and the Apple Store all couldn't touch at the time of writing. (Choose from White or Beats Red — the Black ones were still full price.)
The newest winners of our coveted Mashable's Choice Award, the Studio Buds "put Apple's entry-level AirPods to shame," writes tech reporter Alex Perry, delivering active noise cancellation and all-day comfort on top of stellar sound. (They even support Apple Music's new "spatial audio" feature — more on that here.) You also get up to eight hours of listening time on a single charge when the ANC is turned off — that's almost double the battery life of Apple's AirPods Pro, as Perry points out — with two additional charges provided by their compact charging case.
But perhaps the most impressive thing about the Studio Buds is the fact that they play just as nicely with Android devices as they do iPhones — i.e., none of their basic functions are limited depending on the kind of phone you use. (For comparison's sake, you don't get to reap the benefits of the AirPods Pro's audio sharing or Fit Test features when you use them with Android.) That's a major win in our book.
