There are times when we make poor decisions in life, mostly when we are young. Those poor decisions end up having a big impact on our lives. Some turn to violence, alcohol and drugs in the name of trying to fit in a certain class or what they call a “family.” For instance, those who join gangs are forced to comply with certain things. The lifestyles they adopt end up excluding them from the community. Having tattoos is on the things that some gangs propose – I’m not trying to say that everyone with tattoos belongs to a certain gang. In the clip below, Steven Burton, who is a photographer was doing a photo series named “Skin Deep” with the aim of showing the stigma associated with tattles. He took photos of ex-cons and digitally removed tattoos from their bodies and put the two photos side by side. The results were unbelievable and not even the owners could believe what they saw.
