The duo takes center stage, and the drill instructor hopes to instill some discipline to the truant by asking some hard questions. The drill instructor asks the boy if he loves his mother.  The boy answers in the affirmative. He later asks the boy if he wants him to be his father till he turns 18. The boy answers with two words that shock the instructor. The boy says he has no father. The drill instructor hugs him. Probably, if the boy had a father, he would be less troublesome.
