Homeowners think their dogs have been burnt alive by a fire, then firefighters surprise them

A passerby discovered a fire in West Des Moines,Lowa, while he was walking down the street. One of the houses on the block had terrifying flames and he went ahead and tried to ring the bell and knock on the door. When there was no response, he quickly ran down the road and stopped a car so as to use the driver’s phone to call 911 since he had no cellphone with him.

After the firefighters arrived, they rescued one dog and two pet birds. Moments later, it was discovered that there were still two more dogs in the burning house. At that time, Mike Whitsell, West Des Moines Fire Marshal, was not hopeful that the dogs will be found alive.

Despite that, the brave firefighters went back to see whether they could rescue them.

Fortunately, the two dogs had hidden under a coffee table and were lucky to be alive. Below, we are seeing the moment when the homeowners are reuniting with their five pets after the fire. We surely have to appreciate the good work that firefighters do.
