Sharing your GoPro footage has never been easier with QuikStories
In an effort to make sharing videos and photos from a GoPro Hero5 action camera on social media easier, GoPro has released the QuikStories app.
We'll ignore the fact that they've spelt 'quick' wrong for the moment. The idea is that your footage and photos are seamlessly transferred to your smartphone and then transformed into a ready-to-share video. One tap can automatically create a polished, shareable edit complete with music, effects and transitions.
How it works
Once you've captured your movie or photo, pair your Hero5 (either the Black or Session) with your phone and launch the GoPro app to automatically copy your most recent footage to your phone.
The app then creates a video for you, using a specialized algorithm to scan for interesting moments within the footage you've transferred, including those with HiLight Tags, and develops an edit with transitions and music to match the images.
You can also add text, slow motion and speed effects, change filters and music, adjust the total video length, and add any footage on your phone to your QuikStory video.
To share your video, wait for the GoPro app to notify you that it's been rendered, then send it to your social media channels.
QuikStories is available today around the world for Hero5 Black and Hero5 Session users. To get started, download the all new GoPro app with QuikStories from the App Store or Google Play.
