All the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 pre-order deals in Australia

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has finally been revealed, and as we'd expected, it's set to be the flagship phone to beat in 2017.

Bound to be an extremely sought after handset, those who want one on launch day would be advised to secure their unit as soon as possible.

So far, only a handful of Aussie telcos have announced their Galaxy Note 8 pre-order deals, all of which set to go live just after midnight tonight — specifically, 12:01am on August 25, 2017. We've taken the liberty of gathering them up so that you can make an informed decision about which deal is right for you. Pretty nice of us, right?

Below are all of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 pre-order deals currently available in Australia. We'll update the list as soon as the remaining telcos announce their deals.

TechRadar's Aussie deals team is also in the process of putting together a dedicated deals round-up for the Galaxy Note 8, so if you want to get the best value on the new handset, we'll have a full rundown that identifies the best plans from all the major carriers as soon as everyone's final plan details are available.

Virgin Mobile

Virgin Mobile is offering a free wireless charger with every pre-order of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

Available in both Midnight Black and Maple Gold, Virgin has 24-month contracts starting at $80 per month with 2GB of data, all the way up to $110 per month, with a monthly download allowance of 24GB.

If you're willing to pay $15 more per month and are in the market for a new smartwatch, Virgin is also offering a Galaxy Note 8 and Gear S3 Bundle.

Vodafone

Like Virgin, Vodafone will throw in a free wireless charger with every pre-order. In terms of plans, Vodafone offers 12-month, 24-month and 36-month options for the Galaxy Note 8, with the cheapest monthly payments being the ones spread over a 3-year period. If you're willing to hold on to the handset for 36 months, you can get the Galaxy Note 8 for $69.63 per month with 3GB of data.

At the opposite end of the spectrum, those who are willing pay the entire handset off over 12 months can get it for $154.91 per month with 3GB of data, with higher-end plans stretching all the way up to $224.91 per month for a whopping 50GB of monthly data.

Right in the middle of those two extremes, you'll find the more reasonable 24-month plans, which'll get you the Galaxy Note 8 from $89.45 per month with 3GB of data, all the way up to $156.45 per month with that 50GB monthly data allowance.

Vodafone has also announced that it will be rolling out a trade-in program from September 2, 2017 that will see its customers receive credit on their phone bill when they trade their old handset in. And customers who pre-order the Galaxy Note 8 through Vodafone will receive a bonus $100 of credit on top of their phone's trade-in value.

Amaysim

Pay-as-you-go provider Amaysim is offering a Galaxy Note 8 pre-order deal that sees you get six free plan renewals (28 days each) on any Unlimited plan when you buy the phone outright at $1,499 or go on one of the telco's RateSetter plans.

RateSetter lets you avoid paying a huge lump sum upfront, instead giving you the option to pay $69 per month on a 24 month handset finance agreement ($1,725 total minimum cost) or $129 per month for 12 months ($1,677 total minimum cost). The 24-month option has a $69 upfront fee, while the 12-month one carries an upfront fee of $129.

Also, like Virgin and Vodafone, Amaysim is offering a free wireless charger with every Galaxy Note 8 pre-order.

Like the other telcos, Amaysim's pre-orders begin on August 25, 2017 with a shipping date of September 22, 2017.

Still to come: Telstra and Optus

Surprisingly, Telstra has announced that it's keeping a lid on its pre-order deals until September 5, 2017, stating that it will be introducing "new mobile plans that put the spotlight on data and entertainment." We'll keep you posted on Telstra's pre-order deals as soon as they're announced.

Optus, on the other hand, simply hasn't announced anything yet, though with pre-orders kicking off tomorrow, we'd expect the telco to reveal all very soon.
