Fake iPhone Xs are Already Being Sold in China For $100

Just days after Apple launched the futuristic iPhone X, a budget-friendly knock-off was quickly born in the world’s premiere source of counterfeit goods.

Meet the GooPhone X, made in China.

This clone of a device comes from GooPhone, which happens to be a “regular iPhone counterfeit manufacturer,” according to GizChina.

The company is apparently serious about its business that it reportedly attempted to sue Apple for copyrights once.

According to local sources, the GooPhone X is manufactured in Huaqiangbei, a major electronics hub in Shenzen notoriously dubbed as the “Silicon Valley” of fake tech.

Being the knock-off that it is, the GooPhone X of course does not come packed with the stellar features the iPhone X has, but it does look eerily similar from a distance (such as not having a home button).

Running on Android 5.0, the device features a 5.5-inch screen with a 1280×720 HD display, 1GB of RAM, up to 16GB of internal memory, an 8MP main camera, a 2MP front camera and 3G connectivity. Its fingerprint-scanning feature is NOT real.

In comparison, the iPhone X is equipped with a 5.8-inch screen that boasts a resolution of 2436×1125 pixels, 3GB of RAM, up to 256GB of internal memory, a 12MP main camera, a 7MP front camera and 4G connectivity, among other powerful features.

The GooPhone X, which flaunts even more pretentious specs in its packaging, costs around $100. The iPhone X, meanwhile, sells from $999 starting on Nov. 3.

So, GooPhone X, anyone?
