Matt Damon explains the obnoxious requirement for filming in a Trump building
Movies that want to shoot inside one of Donald Trump's buildings must feature him in a shot, Matt Damon says.
The actor explained the truly obnoxious rule in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter. "You have to waste an hour of your day with a bullshit shot," he said, referring to an instance of that occurring on the set of director Martin Brest's Oscar-winning Scent of a Woman.
"Donald Trump walks in and Al Pacino’s like, “Hello, Mr. Trump!”—you had to call him by name—and then he exits."
Fortunately, most of these Trump scenes apparently end up on the cutting room floor—although a few, like Trump's cameo in Home Alone 2, inexplicably remained in the final cut. (Why, Chris Columbus? We trusted you with Harry Potter.) Read more...
