Woman risks her life to save drowning bats from the recent hurricane Harvey

Hurricane Harvey is wreaking havoc and is one of the scariest national disasters in the U.S. First respondents, emergency respondents, and strangers are in the front line to reach out to those in help.

The floods have displaced humans and animals. However, most people are focusing on rescuing dogs and cats. There is one animal that has not crossed the minds of many.

Alicia Plunkett is not your ordinary kind of person. Most people think the birds and bats can fly, making it easy for them to get out of danger. Sadly, even the winged- animals need rescuing sometimes. Alicia took it upon herself to save the birds. She risked her safety to save the bats from drowning. It is so brave of Alicia and her companions to save the drowning bats that were in a scary and dangerous moment.
