Michael Bay to produce live-action 'Dora the Explorer' movie and it's not even April Fool's yet

2017 has brought a lot that we didn't ask for, an inordinate amount of which came from Michael Bay. The Transformers producer – who has over a dozen stories ready for that franchise, let's not forget – will produce a live-action Dora the Explorer movie for reasons as yet unknown. 

Nicholas Stoller, who directed The Muppets and Captain Underpants but is better known for movies like Neighbors and Forgetting Sarah Marshall, will pen the script.

The film has been in production at Paramount since 2015, according to The Hollywood Reporter, and will catch up with Dora, now as a teenager living in the city with Diego. Sure, why not?  Read more...
