'Pacific Rim Uprising' suggests Idris Elba only succeeded in delaying the apocalypse
So much for cancelling the apocalypse. As evidenced by the existence of Pacific Rim Uprising, Stacker Pentecost may have only succeeded in delaying the end of the world.
That's okay, though, because it gives us an excuse to see John Boyega strap into a jaeger and fight giant freakin' monsters.
The Pacific Rim sequel picks up about 10 years later with Boyega's Jake, son of Stacker. He's got a complicated relationship with dad – particularly since his dad always seemed so much more interested in his sister, Mako (Rinko Kikuchi). Read more...
