Laotian Adult Film Star Wants More Asian Men in Porn

Brenna Sparks is a 25-year-old rising star in the adult film industry; performing for than a year, she’s already racked up quite a following online.

Recently, to the surprise of many, Sparks made a tweet address representation in the adult film industry.

There needs to be more Asian men in porn in the US.

Sparks, who’s of Laotian descent, makes a great point as Asian males in straight adult films are a rarity, with the exception of Asian countries like Japan. The fact that Sparks herself didn’t even know that there were any Asian males in the industry shows just how little representation there is.

However, she was pleasantly surprised when her followers pointed out some of the notable Asian male talents that are available right now.

Unfortunately, despite many tweeting at Sparks in agreement, there were many those who were against it — with some resorting to uncreative penis jokes.

Despite the studies that continue to prove that the myth of the small Asian penis is woefully inaccurate, the stigma unfortunately still follows Asian men like a shadow.

Sparks’ wasn’t the first to point out this inequality in male talent; recently, adult actress Dolly Leigh also took to Twitter to ask for more inclusion in adult videos.

How come there is no younger Asian male talent in the industry? Wondering why that demographic is completely left out

Hopefully, Sparks’ and Leigh’s tweets will help open the conversation for more diversity in the industry.
