Oka, a 43-year-old artist from Aichi Prefecture, Japan, can paint incredibly realistic portraits that people often confuse with either real-life photography or a picture created using Computer-Generated Imagery (CGI).

According to SoraNews24, Oka uses pure talent and his oil painting tools to create these amazing masterpieces.

The artist really puts everything into his work. You can even spot the tiniest details, like the reflection of light in the model’s eyes as well as their eyelashes.
pic.twitter.com/pqdO54H19u— 岡靖知 (@yasutomooka) February 18, 2018
The color he uses as well as the gloomy background somehow helps make the portraits look more realistic – or even make it look like it was made using a computer.
pic.twitter.com/NuYjVIR4We— 岡靖知 (@yasutomooka) February 14, 2018
It takes a lot of hard work to make such intricate masterpieces, which is why Oka takes several days to more than half a month to finish one piece. One of the pictures below – the woman in a kimono – took 20 days to finish.

Oka is also very good with using colored pencils and markers for drawing realistic-looking artwork. Take these few, for example, they all look like they were taken using a camera with a black and white filter.
