A 12-year-old Australian boy really ticked off his parents by using the family credit card to buy flights to Bali, Indonesia, after he had an argument with his mum.
Given the pseudonym Drew by A Current Affair, the boy also managed to fool his grandmother into giving him his passport. He figured out he could fly on certain Australian airlines without parental permission, only needing a school ID and a valid passport to fly.
Drew told his parents one morning he was off to school, but instead hopped on his scooter and caught a train to Sydney airport. There he used self-service check-in, passed security, and made his way first to Perth. No one there suspected anything wrong. Read more...
