A 69-year-old 'positivity guru' wants to legally change his age to 49

"Positivity guru" and occasional DJ Emile Ratelband is 69 years old, but he believes he's only 49. 

Describing himself as a "young god," Ratelband asked the Dutch courts to legally change his age on Monday to improve his quality of life. He insists that he's discriminated against by jobs and dating apps because on paper, he's too old.

Here's his argument, translated by the Guardian:

As the Cut points out, "luxurious" might be a euphemism — in a translation by CNN, Ratelband says, "When I'm 49 with [this face], then I'm rammed." 

Ratelband insists that he feels 20 years younger than 69, and that he's even willing to postpone his pension benefits by 20 years. Claiming that trans people are allowed to legally change their documented sex, he believes he should be allowed to change his legal date of birth.  Read more...
