'Endangering the lives of Americans': Stephen Colbert targets Trump's nonsensical push to reopen the country
On Sunday night, U.S. President Donald Trump sat inside the Lincoln Memorial and said, and I quote, "They always said, Lincoln, nobody got treated worse than Lincoln. I believe I am treated worse."
Abraham Lincoln was literally shot in the head, but okay.
"You're going to compare yourself to Abraham Lincoln?" said Late Show host Stephen Colbert during Monday's episode. "Well I'd like to point out that none of his supporters carried Confederate flags."
Though Trump spent some time patting his own back, as he is wont to do, Fox News' virtual town hall was ostensibly about reopening the country. Of course, the president also has a nonsensical view of the coronavirus pandemic, suggesting it might be good for the economy and a death toll of 90,000 could be considered a success. Read more...
