Asea Health and Wellness Review – Is It A Legit MLM Business Opportunity Or A Scam?
Company: Asea Global
Website: http://aseaglobal.com/
First of all, I would like to thank you for doing research on Asea before diving in head first.
This is always recommended when trying to find an online business opportunity.
Secondly, I would like to thank you for choosing this review.
I hope it helps you make the right choice.
Here are a few ways in which it may help you out the most.
I am not a distributor of the product nor am I employed by Asea in any way.
You can count on getting honest and unbiased reviews from this site.
Sometimes, too honest…
All of the review here are based on testimonials, peer reviewed articles and the company’s official website.
Now that you have an idea of how we do things around here, let’s find out more about Asea.
An Asea Overview
Asea, LLC is considered a privately owned Direct Selling MLM.
The LLC was founded in 2007 by Verdis Norton, James Pack, and Tyler Norton.
The current management looks more like this: Charles F. Funke as CEO, Jarom Webb acting as President, and Kurt Richards as Executive Vice President.
Asea is headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. You may have also recognized it as Medical Immune Research and Asea, Inc.
Asea products officially launched in 2009 and now boast an impressive 30,000 plus associates.
The initial product was the liquid supplement known as Redox.
A few years later a skin product named RENU 28 was introduced.
In 2015, Asea and BioAgilytix Labs partnered. The Bio Lab is used to bring validity to their product claims. 2016 brought yet another new product.
RENU Advanced is an anti-aging product which comes in a four product package.
I have to admit, Asea has one of the cleanest and thorough company history that I have seen in a long time.
I guess that is kind of expected considering Asea has been around for less than a decade.
Now we can check out Asea’s compensation plan to see how it stacks up against the rest.
Plan To Get Paid…Or Not
First things first; in order to qualify for all of the information below, you must be enrolled as an Associate and have active status.
The way you do this is that you have at least 100 Personal Volume (PV) each month.
This may not seem like a lot now, but most people have difficulty getting started.
Asea also recommends getting signed up for the auto-ship program so that you receive your product each month quicker and easier.
The product that you move to customers is also included in your PV.
Now, here comes the list of 7 ways you can make money with Asea products.
Let’s see if it is worth it, shall we?
Retail Sales: Active Status, Weekly Payout
Every time you buy Asea products at a discounted rate and sell them at retail value, you keep the difference.
Bonus For Preferred Customers: Active Status, Weekly Payout
You earn $25 for every case that is purchased using the auto-ship program by preferred customers.
Fast Start Bonus: Active Status, Weekly Payout
You will earn this bonus if you sponsor someone that buys any Asea Product Pack while being processed.
Bonus For Directors: Active Status, Weekly Payout
This is a one-time bonus that is offered to people that achieve the rank of Director within 14 days of your enrollment period.
Team Commissions: Active Status, Binary Qualified, Weekly Payout
You have the opportunity to build two legs in your own personal team organization with a minimum of 300 Global Volume (GV).
You earn 10% of the total volume in the second leg.
Executive Momentum Bonus: Active Status, Binary Qualified, Four Week Payout
There are 4 major executive ranks including Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.
You earn a share of the global volume for a limited time as you move up in the ranks.
This means that you could earn at least 3% of the global CV which is put into a pool and shared among all other affiliates of that rank.
You must reach the qualifications listed for two consecutive weeks to make the bonus.
Check Match: Active Status, 200 PV, Binary Qualified, Weekly Payout
You earn matches on all of the associates that you have sponsored, the ones they have sponsored.
This carries on until you reach 7 generations.
I really enjoy a company that gives associates plenty of ways to make money.
In fact, getting a weekly payout for 7 generations can really make you some serious cash.
Let’s dig a bit deeper and see what we come up with.
Training Programs
It is one thing to find a great MLM that has a lot of potential.
It is another thing entirely to put specialized sponsoring and recruitment skills to good use.
If you need help with those skills, you are in luck because Asea has a training seminar program that may help people sell their product.
This isn’t the only MLM that provides training and it won’t be the last.
I am wondering if the Peak Performance Program is really worth it.
Asea claims that the training programs are a way to focus on professional development.
These consist of national events and online seminars that enhance your leadership talents.
There are 4 different levels of training including Envision, Base camp, Ascent & Diamond Summit.
Envision
This is an annual event that gathers experts and corporate executives to share their experiences.
Since it is a 3 day event, you will learn leadership skills and get your business plan lined up for the next year.
This is not a bad start to a training program.
Plus, this may give you a way to network with people from around the world.
It may or may not translate to money in your pocket but training is always important.
Base Camp
This program only welcomes Bronze Executives and above.
This may seem a bit overwhelming but this level is achievable if you know what you are doing. Here are all of the inclusive:
1 Ethos Training
2 Getting Started
3 Base Camp Skills
4 Product Information
5 Leadership Training
Finally, you get a bunch of webinars that are available for about a week.
Asea Ascent
This program seems to be focused on making your business even better.
Basically, if your business happens to take off, it will help you bring it to the next level.
This program focuses on business strategy and providing more tools for your selling arsenal.
Another focus is to provide you with plenty of opportunities to network and communicate with other people in the same field.
There isn’t much information about this level of training in regards to the schematics of the event but plenty of info on scheduling.
I’m starting to wonder if these programs cons any more or they come with the status you achieve.
Let’s hope they are free…
Diamond Summit
The Diamond Summit events are where things get crazy.
Ok, I admit, when I first read about this program, I was thinking that it seems a bit like a high school clique but you do have the potential of meeting some people that can really help you out.
It is also an added bonus that the Diamond Summit conferences are held in luxury resorts in Hawaii.
OK, cool, have a half day of conferences and then chill out at the beach for the rest of the evening.
Sounds great to me!!!
On a more serious note, any MLM company that provides training is worth looking into.
Just saying…
The Positives of Asea
The two main positives of Asea have already been discussed in great detail in this review.
With that being said, I want to take the opportunity to express the difference between product and compensation plan.
Asea has several product lines that give you a great chance at making money.
However, the claims that are made about the product seem to be exaggerated and in many ways false.
I will refrain from making a claim the business if fraudulently promoting health benefits because I’m sure the product would have been taken off the shelves by now.
However, none of the scientific studies are peer reviewed by a credible source.
In regards to the compensation plan; the potential and training is there.
The Negatives Of Asea
It’s water with “special” ingredients for $150 a month.
How many other products have made the same exact claims over the past few centuries?
No, I’m not kidding!!! People have been trying to sell variations of water since the mid 19th century.
Now, I’m not saying that Asea products are bad for you…
What I’m saying is that the only scientific evidence that I have found seems to be inconclusive or paid experiments.
If you don’t believe me…check out this article about Asea Science.
Before I get too carried away, let me point out one more thing. Throughout my research, I came across many threads and most of the comments were from obvious Asea distributers.
How do I know this you might ask?
Answer: Because there is always at least one comment about Asea water curing cancer.
My one bit of advice for anyone making these claims, please stop this immediately.
Not only is it detrimental to Asea and all other distributors, it is illegal!!!
Now, let’s see what the final verdict is.
The Final Verdict
Here’s the score. Asea is in no way a scam in regards to their compensation plan.
Are there better plans out there? Yes, absolutely.
But, there are not a whole lot of MLMs that provide training like Asea does.
I have to admit, I’m a bit impressed by this aspect of the business model.
Maybe the training program is so good because it is trying to make up for a product that may or may not provide significant health benefits.
Here is my point; businesses can go ahead and claim whatever they want and hire medical firms to “backup” the claims all they want.
But, how many other companies that rival Asea claim the same exact thing.
There are hundreds!!!
Long story short: the potential to make money is there.
The product seems average at best and some of the claims that Associates are making are irresponsible and unprofessional.
