Boy with autism sees his favorite band, Coldplay, live for first time, cries tears of joy
An emotional, tear-jerking video of a young, 6-year-old, autistic boy’s reaction to seeing his favorite band, Coldplay live is taking the internet by storm– reaching even the band themselves.
The video recorded by the father, shows Huillo Vazquez fighting back tears as he hear the band perform. With his father’s arms around him, he begins to move to the music, jumping up and down in excitation.
As the lead singer, Chris Martin sings the lyrics, “Tears stream down your face,” Huillo’s father couldn’t help but cry at the sight of his son’s emotional reaction.
I whole heartedly understand the father’s tears because autistic children can sometimes have difficulties expressing their emotions. So when the father saw his son overwhelmed with emotions, he couldn’t help but feel the same way.
As the music continues to play, the father continues to sob, mouthing the words to his son and kissing his boy’s face. I can’t help but get emotional watching this video because it’s sums up a parents’ love for their child.
After the event, the father posted the video on social media where it gained over 4 million views on YouTube and has been share all over Facebook and Twitter.
In response to all the support and love his family has received, Vazquez wrote on Facebook, “Because there’s never a reason not to be grateful, today I want to thank you all for your beautiful and special comments! Really they make us feel as if you had been with us in those bleachers enjoying the best band in the world and Huillo’s favorite!”
But the support did not stop there… The video gained so much attention that it even reached the band Coldplay. Replying to the Huillo and his family the band says, “This kind of thing makes it all worthwhile.”
The video the father shared is something every person should watch– a power depiction of a parents’ love.
