Family welcomes third child born on the exact same for the third year in a row
Having babies can be a weird experience. Having three babies born on exactly the same day is an even weirder experience. For the Stevenson’s, September first must be a lucky date because for three consecutive years on the exact same day, Lauren Stevenson gave birth to her children.
Even though doctors predicted a different due date for all of them, they were all delivered on the same date. Henry Lee Stevenson was born on September 1, 2016, and he shares the same birthday as his siblings: his 1-year-old sister Tommie Lee, and 2-year-old brother Axel.
“We were just overwhelmed with excitement and joy,” said Stevenson. “A healthy baby boy and the fact that he came on Sept. 1, the doctors, the nurses, my husband and I — we just couldn’t believe it.”
Dr. William Lowe of St. Alexius Health in Dickinson delivered all three of the siblings and said he has never delivered three babies a year apart on the same day. It was the first time in his career and it was even more amazing when they were all siblings.
The mother says that she has never been able to plan a birthday party for her children because “every time we try to have their birthdays, I’m always in the hospital having a baby,” she said laughing. “I think for their birthdays we can have one big party. If they can share together, we can do one big birthday cake. If not, we’ll have to give them their own cake, and get them each their own present.”
A crazy story about siblings who just wanted to be born on the same day. We often have friends who share the same birthdays, but this one is not even in the same ballpark. Being born on the same day despite having different expected delivery dates is mind boggling. An applause to the mother, Lauren, for having three babies in consecutive years– really impressive.
