Malala wrote a magical new picture book, inspired by her own childhood (And we have a sneak peek)
Malala Yousafzai's life has been anything but ordinary.
Born in 1997 in Pakistan's Swat Valley, the now 20-year-old Nobel Peace Prize-winner rose to fame by speaking out about the importance of girls' education, and she was targeted by the Taliban for it. Through her signature tenacity and powerful voice, Malala's early activism has since grown into an international movement.
In her forthcoming picture book, Malala's Magic Pencil, Malala returns to her childhood to teach younger readers about the importance of hope, believing in magic, and making the world a better place.
