OnePlus 5T benchmark gives us a complete look at the possible specs
We’re just a couple of days away from the November 16 launch of the OnePlus 5T, but there might not be much left to reveal, especially now that a benchmark has seemingly listed the phone’s specs in full.
A GFXBench listing points to a phone a lot like the OnePlus 5, but with a 6-inch 1080 x 2160 screen, which is up in both size and resolution from the 5.5-inch 1080 x 1920 OnePlus 5 screen. We’ve heard that before, so there’s a good chance it’s true, but elsewhere the listed specs are identical to those of the OnePlus 5.
That includes an octa-core Snapdragon 835 chipset, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage and a 16MP rear camera – though only one camera is listed there, whereas the OnePlus 5T is likely to have a dual-lens snapper, just like the OnePlus 5 before it.
The listing also mentions a 16MP front-facing camera and Android Nougat, which again, is just like the OnePlus 5.
A small improvement
If true, then the 5T might not be much of an upgrade, other than its screen, though this benchmark doesn’t line up with all previous rumors, as while there’s unlikely to be any change to the chipset or RAM, some earlier leaks pointed to two 20MP rear cameras.
Though others claim there will be two 16MP ones, so it remains to be seen which – if either – camera spec is right.
And even if the OnePlus 5T isn’t a big upgrade that might not matter much, as it also might not cost any more than the OnePlus 5.
- The OnePlus 6 is probably already in the works
