Medium Format Fujifilm GFX Shutter Demo, or: What $8,000 Sounds Like

For one reason or another, us photo nerds are obsessed with shutters—whether it’s watching them fire in slow motion or listening to the hefty *kachunk* of a solid camera shutter. To that end, here’s a little peak (and listen) at what the medium format Fuji GFX shutter looks and sounds like.

The GFX 50S, in case you’ve forgotten, is Fuji’s groundbreaking 51MP mirrorless medium format camera, which is rumored to cost somewhere in the vicinity of $8,000 (with a lens) when it finally ships in early 2017.

This video of the camera’s shutter in action comes from the folks at dc.watch, who filmed it as part of their hands-on review.
