Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro price leaked with no sign of the Gear Fit 3
Samsung announced its Gear Fit 2 fitness tracker over a year ago, but rumors suggest instead of a Gear Fit 3 we'll instead see the release of a Gear Fit 2 Pro very soon.
A new leak suggests the fitness tracker will cost more than the original Fit 2 did at launch, so it may be this is a high-end device that will sit in a product range alongside the original Gear Fit 2.
One large US retailer has listed the Gear Fit 2 Pro on its site for $199.99 (about £160, AU$250), while the original Gear Fit 2 launched at $179.99 (£179, about AU$300).
Some retailers have also dropped the price of the Gear Fit 2 over its year long life while some were able to grab it for free when buying a Samsung Galaxy S8.
No Gear Fit 3 yet
Evan Blass - the leaker who shared details of the Gear Fit 2 Pro price - hasn't revealed the name of the retailer so we can't verify the listing, but it may be a mistake as often websites put in placeholder prices.
So far it's unclear what extra features make it deserving of the Pro title, but we expect it to have waterproofing that allows you to take the Gear Fit 2 in the pool for a swim as well as minor improvements to the wristband.
Rumors suggest Samsung may also allow for support for Spotify offline, so you may not need an internet connection to listen to music on the go.
The Gear Fit 2 Pro may be announced at the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 launch taking place this week on August 23, or it could be ready for the manufacturer's IFA 2017 show.
